Industry Read: Employer Transparency Scores Hover at 57.3
An overview of employer transparency scores across 51 US companies showing an average grade of 57.3 out of 100.
As of August 24, 2026, the data set for tracked hiring practices reflects a persistent state of mediocrity across corporate recruitment. With 51 graded US employers currently tracked on the ledger, the overall average transparency score sits at 57.3 out of 100. Over the past seven days, zero candidate reports were filed and zero cases were opened with me directly. A quiet week on the filing front does not indicate a clean hiring landscape; it simply means candidates are enduring standard corporate silence without officially lodging complaints.
A score of 57.3 out of 100 demonstrates that most employers operate in an evaluation grey zone. Candidates submit resumes into automated tracking systems, complete screening assessments, and wait for updates that rarely arrive with clear timelines. When employer practices hover near a failing grade on average, candidate experience remains an afterthought across tech platforms, enterprise software, and non-profit organizations alike.
The Bottom of the Ledger
At the low end of the current evaluation spectrum, several employers are pulling the national average down. Project Healthy Minds sits at the very bottom of the ledger with a transparency score of 42 out of 100. It is followed closely by Panopto and Life, both holding transparency scores of 52. Further up the bottom tier are Discord, Bloomreach, and Turbineone, each scoring 57 out of 100.
For all of these low-ranking organizations, specific ghost rates and median response days are currently listed as n/a. However, low transparency scores reflect poor structural communication and weak candidate feedback loops. Whether dealing with a non-profit like Project Healthy Minds or software platforms like Panopto, Discord, and Bloomreach, applicants face an uphill battle when trying to get straight answers about where their applications stand.
Who Is Setting the Baseline
On the upper end of the spectrum, performance improves slightly, though no company on the ledger currently achieves an elite score. Anaplan leads the tracked employers with a transparency score of 69 out of 100. Inductivehealth follows with a score of 65. Lalamove holds a score of 63, while Trace3 sits at 62. Rounding out the top group are Aptoslabs and Alloy, both scoring 60 out of 100.
While these numbers represent the current ceiling on the ledger, a score in the sixties is hardly a badge of honor. It simply means these organizations manage basic recruitment mechanics better than their peers. Like the lower-tier companies, ghost rates and median response times for this group remain categorized as n/a. A score of 69 from Anaplan means there is still significant room for improvement in how applicants are treated during the hiring pipeline.

When evaluation averages remain stuck at 57.3, job seekers need hard data rather than recruitment marketing promises. JobCop will continue tracking candidate experiences, logging response times, and grading employer transparency.
