Employer Transparency Scores: Top and Bottom Performers

JobCop analyzes employer transparency scores across 85 US companies, highlighting top performers like Connectwise and lower-scoring firms like Goalbookapp 2.

Navigating the modern hiring market without clear operational signals from prospective employers remains a persistent issue for job seekers. When companies post roles, applicants often submit detailed materials without knowing whether the hiring pipeline is actively managed or effectively abandoned. At JobCop, we track how companies communicate, respond, and handle applicant interactions through a standardized scoring framework. Currently, there are 85 graded US employers listed on the ledger. Across this entire dataset, the average transparency score stands at 64.3 out of 100.

That baseline average reveals a wide split between companies that maintain reasonable communication hygiene and those that leave candidates operating in the dark. Examining the top and bottom of the ledger offers a clearer look at where specific employers stand today.

The Highest Graded Employers

At the upper end of the ledger, a distinct group of organizations maintains higher standards of communication and process clarity. Leading all 85 graded US employers on the ledger is Connectwise, which holds the top position with a transparency score of 76 out of 100.

Directly behind Connectwise, five employers share the second-highest tier, each recording a score of 75 out of 100. These top-performing companies are:

  • Woolpert
  • Supplyhouse
  • Asana
  • Codeandtheory
  • Imafinancialgroup

Looking at broader tracking data in our platform index, additional companies demonstrate mid-range scores. Hubspotjobs currently records a transparency score of 67 out of 100, driven by higher sub-pillar marks including an activity score of 83 and a hygiene score of 85. Livecareer registers a score of 62 out of 100, supported by an activity pillar score of 79.5 and a hygiene score of 67.2. These metrics highlight companies that sit above the general average but still have room to streamline candidate interactions.

The Lowest Graded Employers

On the opposite end of the distribution, multiple employers register scores well below the overall average of 64.3 out of 100. The lowest recorded score on the ledger belongs to Goalbookapp 2, which comes in at 52 out of 100.

Clustered just above Goalbookapp 2 are five employers tied with a transparency score of 57 out of 100. This group includes Datavations, Onemedical, Happyco, Anomali, and Stripe.

Other organizations tracked in our database show similar lower-tier evaluations. Ziprecruiter holds a transparency score of 58 out of 100, with pillar scores including responsiveness at 56, reliability at 52, sentiment at 50, and hygiene at 47.9. Meanwhile, tracking profiles for Smartrecruiters, Glassdoor, and Recruitee remain unrated overall, though each shares a responsiveness pillar score of 56 and a sentiment score of 50.

Low transparency scores often reflect broader breakdowns in candidate communication, slow turnarounds, or inconsistent pipeline management. Knowing where an employer lands on this spectrum helps applicants decide where to direct their effort.

Newly Verified Employers and Weekly Metrics

The ledger is updated continuously as new companies are evaluated and verified. The latest cohort of newly verified employers includes Life, Recraft, Osedea, Carbonblack, Datavations, Versapay, Zapier, and Tesla. Each newly verified entry adds more visibility into how different organizations manage their hiring pipelines.

Over the last 7 days, platform metrics show 0 anonymous candidate reports filed and 0 cases opened with Dep. Regardless of weekly volume changes, our ledger maintains historical data to show how candidate experience scores hold up over time. Job seekers can use these scores to evaluate prospective employers before committing time to lengthy hiring cycles.
