Hiring Transparency Read: Top and Bottom Rated Employers

A breakdown of hiring transparency across 207 US employers, highlighting top performers at 75 and bottom scores at 50.

The hiring process remains largely opaque, but tracking employer data gives candidates a clear view of who is maintaining basic operational standards and who is lagging behind. Across 207 graded US employers tracked on the ledger, the current average transparency score sits at 65.3 out of 100.

In the last seven days, zero anonymous candidate reports were filed, and zero cases were opened with Dep. This silence in incoming filings does not mean the hiring market has suddenly solved its responsiveness problem. It simply reflects a baseline week across the system while ledger scores continue to evaluate employer data.

Where Employers Are Clustered

When looking at overall employer performance, the data shows a sharp divide between companies maintaining structured recruitment practices and those scoring near the floor of acceptable transparency. A score of 65.3 out of 100 indicates that while the typical US employer on our ledger meets basic requirements, a significant portion of companies continue to struggle with reliability and communication hygiene.

Top-tier performance currently caps out at a score of 75. Six employers share this top spot on the ledger:

  • Supplyhouse: Score 75
  • Koboldmetals: Score 75
  • Turing: Score 75
  • Clarityinnovates: Score 75
  • Css: Score 75
  • Abclegalservices: Score 75

These top-rated organizations demonstrate consistent operational standards relative to the rest of the tracked field. While a score of 75 leaves room for improvement, it puts these companies well above the overall ledger average of 65.3.

The Lower End of the Ledger

At the bottom of the current ratings, scores drop to 50. Employers at this end of the spectrum reflect significant operational gaps in how candidate interactions are handled.

Simpleventures and Picktrace anchor the bottom of the list, both holding a score of 50 out of 100. Slightly above them is Collabora at 51, followed by Epsilon3 and Demandscience tied at 52, and Cority at 53.

For candidate application data on these employers, ghost rates and median response times remain listed as n/a in current ledger metrics. However, their overall transparency scores highlight sustained weakness across key evaluation pillars like responsiveness, reliability, and sentiment. Candidates applying to organizations scoring in the low 50s should expect potential delays and limited visibility into their application status.

Verification Updates Across Sectors

Recent updates to the ledger also include a batch of newly verified employers. Eight companies have recently joined the verified tracking list: Atariinc, Guidepoint, Dlhcorporation, Rapidfortinc, Osano, Sprinto, Wildalaskancompany, and Codeorg.

Verification ensures that these organizations are actively tracked against standardized metrics. As candidate interactions accumulate for these newly verified entities, their performance pillar scores will provide deeper insight into whether they lean toward the top-tier 75 mark or drop down toward the low 50s.

What Candidates Should Watch For

Navigating job postings without operational data often leads to wasted time. Knowing an employer’s baseline transparency score allows candidates to manage expectations before submitting resumes or agreeing to multi-round interview pipelines.

When an employer sits at 75, their pipeline processes are generally structured enough to merit candidate effort. When an employer hovers at 50 or 52, candidates are advised to diversify their search and remain guarded about response timelines.
